6/14 - last post, some cool images from Friday morning's hustle to and at the airport...
Lots of interesting artwork on display outside in downtown Nagoya - I especially liked this one...

...there is actually a sword shop on the Kintestsu Station mall... just in case you need to pick up some negotiating tools on your way to that morning meeting...

Through this very short, highly-work-focused trip, I was unable to take a garden tour or see any monuments or sight-seeing per se, but I was happy to see the "Samurai Lab" in the Nagoya airport (actually the Chubu Centrair Int'l Airport... the "Nagoya Airport" is a small airfield for exec/charter planes nearby, so ask for the right airport!)  It's kind of a mini-museam on Nagoya, Nagoya castle, and the feudal history of the city...

This is a little replica of Nagoya castle...

And if you believe the Ninja are a myth, they're right here over the United/ANA ticketing counter!!!

6/13 - having completed our primary objective for the trip, we got out of the customer site early on Thursday and decided to enjoy the city nightlife for a change... starting with ice cold beers served with a head that's actually frosty to the point that it holds its shape like a snow cone...

...followed by some delicious hibachi-style beef...

...some horesemeat tartare...

...and some exploring...

...getting hungry again..

6/13am - some sights from a walk to the train station... top three are of what I think is some kind of Shinto shrine (bearing in mind I am in no way sure about that), the bottom two are of the "yellow brick road for the blind" I've been so impressed with...

6/12 pm - some random snaps tooling around town looking for dinner...

6/12 - once in Yokkaichi, we were b/t bus pickup times, so we took a cab to the customer site... so many of the local homes had these beautiful gardens and what I would call "boulderscaping" (pics taken from moving cab, so a nice plug for the HTC One!) - very inspiring for those considering a landscape overhaul!

Po-Cariiii Sweat!!!
It's like Gatorade... I thought people where saying "Bacardi Sweat"...
A must have in the hot weather...

6/12 - team conference call from the hotel this a.m., then walked to the train station - here were some random snaps along the walk...

there are these yellow path markers everywhere...
these are to lead the blind apparently - pretty cool!

never did figure out what this tall, eclectic building was... it was right next to the stairs underground to the train station, giving you a nice landmark to walk towards...

fresh seafood market!
